Whirley-DrinkWorks! is hiring for a Part-Time Housekeeper, 4:00-8:30 for the Bakery Building


JOB SUMMARY

Participates in general cleaning of offices, restrooms and plant areas. Assures that completion of tasks meet established health and sanitation standards.  
 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Communicates the storage, distribution and use of housekeeping-related products and supplies in accordance to established tracking forms.
 
Inspects the security of the building perimeter (doors and/or openings) while traveling the normal cleaning routes or by predetermined schedules on a daily basis.  Ensures all windows are closed and secured.
 
Participates in and ensures health and sanitation for all TeamMates by using the proper disinfecting cleaners on any human contact surface such as tables, counters, appliances, phones, bathroom fixtures and surfaces.  Cleans and disinfects the break-room surfaces daily in accordance to the established work instructions.
 
Collects recyclable materials (excluding manufactured plastic products from Whirley), such as copy paper, computer paper, magazines, soda cans, soda bottles, glass, tin cans, and broken pallet debris, as required daily.
 
Collects and disposes of biohazard materials from restrooms and First Aid rooms by established work instructions.  Cleans and disinfects the restroom surfaces daily in accordance to the established instructions.
Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and training is mandatory.
 
Responds to blood borne pathogen clean up of any area of the facility where a First Responder or supervisor requests to have blood or any other potentially infectious materials removed.
 
Collects and properly disposes of trash and debris in accordance to the established work instructions.  Maintains a trash compactor log and notifies when needing emptied.
 
Replenishes supplies in restrooms and offices as needed or requested and per established work instructions.
 
Cleans warehouse rack following ASI rack cleaning sheet for inspection.
 
Services First Aid Cabinets, performs monthly fire extinguisher and eye wash inspections monthly, and sends fire extinguishers for service when required. 
 
Reports general building maintenance-related issues to appropriate personnel.
 
Cleans Whirley coffee mugs, dishes & silverware daily by utilizing a dishwasher or by hand.
 
Cleans the windows that are accessible during inclement weather on a monthly basis; during acceptable weather on a biannual basis.
 
Vacuums the carpets, mats and runners in all areas of responsibility daily. Spot-cleans, when necessary, the carpeted traffic areas using dry chemical cleaner or carpet shampooer.  Runs and maintains scrubber – floor cleaning per set schedule.
 
Keeps facility clean of all cobwebs.  Dusts and vacuums office, cubicles, fixtures and appliances.
 
Sweeps, mops and scrubs floor surfaces. Applies floor finishes.
 
Must be able to work adjusted  hours for floor waxing or extra duties such as painting, carpet shampooing, and able to work overtime in emergency or special situations as needed
 

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent. 1-3 years housekeeping experience preferred. Able to understand written and verbal instructions.  Must be able to handle tasks with minimal supervision.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Prolonged walking, carrying and standing.  Lifting of up to 45 lbs.  Bending, crouching, stooping to reach areas to be cleaned.  Lifting and pulling of equipment or supplies.
