JOB SUMMARY

Transports, stores, pulls, loads, and unloads products required for workshops, printing/assembly needs or stock replenishment.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Truck Driving & Material Handling
   • Operates company box trucks. Completes Vehicle Maintenance Checklist prior to operating the trucks. Cleans cargo bay and cab upon completion of operation/shift. Completes Daily Truck Trip Log Sheet and turns in upon completion of operation/shift.

• • Transports all materials between warehouses to meet Molding and Decoration and Assembly production needs, and shipping needs. Properly scans and stores materials in warehouses.
  • Performs truck shuttle run delivering items between buildings.
  • Performs local deliveries and pickups.

2. Inventory Control
   • Operates radio frequency (RF) scans to maintain accurate inventory levels and storage locations. Checks Molding Department Work Centers for status of orders being produced.
   • Performs cycle counts as required. Returns all extra components to the appropriate warehouse and properly stores parts.
   • Maintains inventory of supply items like crash downs, plastic pallets and coffin lids. Stores and replenishes stock locations to meet inventory needs.
   • Monitors staging location inventory values at the end of every shift and reports issues to Team Leader.

3. Safety, Sanitation and SQF
   • Operates box trucks. Properly conduct safety checks prior to every run. Notifies the Team Leader of any safety concerns.
   • Operates powered industrial trucks to move materials to and from locations. Completes a forklift checklist prior to operation. Refers all problems to Team Leader. Adheres to traffic safety program. Uses extreme caution around pedestrians.
   • Safeguards material handling operations and warehouse contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. Enforces outside driver safety policies.
   • Ensure that all operations are performed with the utmost regard for the safety and health of all personnel involved.
   • Makes sanitation a day-to-day practice by ensuring that the guidelines for “Safe Quality Foods” are followed as a matter of routine. Internal inspections should result in a few, if any, corrective actions. Corrective actions must be addressed in a timely fashion and not repeat in subsequent Whirley inspections.
   • Restacks leaning boxes and replace damaged boxes or pallets.
   • Keeps warehouse areas free from stray parts.

4. Other Responsibilities as Assigned
   • Communicates with other shifts and departments to pass and gather information concerning daily duties.
   • Assists Receiving by unloading shipments manually or with a PIT. Completes all necessary paperwork associated with shipment.
   • May be required to work overtime to meet the department’s operational needs.
   • Sorts regrind.
   • Any other duties assigned by your Team Leader/Supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• One to two years of truck driving and/or forklift experience preferred.
• Must demonstrate ability to read, write and operate simple office equipment.
• Computer and math skills required.
• Must pay strict attention to detail.
• DOT certification required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged sitting, walking, standing.
• Lifting and moving of 45lbs.
• Prolonged exposure to heat or cold when loading/unloading trailers.

• Loading of numerous boxes full length of trailer
• Good manual dexterity and color discrimination

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Driving records for TeamMates holding Material Handler positions will be subject to periodic review from a third party. Failure to maintain an acceptable driving record could result in job loss or reassignment.

Drivers with unacceptable driving records would include those with one or more of the following violations:

• Violation(s) of company Drug and Alcohol Policies
• Conviction for an alcohol and/or drug related driving offense
• Refusal to submit to a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) test
• Conviction for reckless driving
• Any combination of three or more moving violations, "At Fault Accidents", or "Preventable Accidents" within the most recent three years
• Suspension, revocation, or administrative restriction within the last three years
• Leaving the scene of an accident as defined by state laws.
• At fault in a fatal accident
• Felony committed involving a vehicle.
• Three or more "Company Vehicle" physical damage claims in any twelve-month period
