JOB TITLE: Material Handler III
DEPARTMENT: Material Handling
REPORTS TO: Material Handling Supervisor; Material Handling Team Leader

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt/Hourly
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for a variety of warehouse activities including scanner, production, and other related job training; creation of standard work; back up Team Leader / Supervisor; shipping oversight on 2nd and 3rd shifts including verifying shipments; inventory adjustments and inventory accuracy activities; parcel and receiving back up activities; leads muda hunt and champions other OE activities; general Material Handler functions.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Material Handling
- Backs up Material Handling Supervisor / Material Handling Team Leader.
- Understands receiving and parcel functions and can back up as needed.
- Trains new TeamMates in practical job functions including scanner use, floor layout, app use, etc. Maintains a positive attitude, listens to TeamMates concerns and questions, and fosters a strong connection with the Company.
- Performs inventory adjustments within approved limits and seeks guidance from supervisor for other necessary adjustments.
- Creates standard work, with full collaboration across all three Material Handler 3 positions and leadership.
- Performs all functions of a Material Handler 1 & 2 role.
Shipping
- Understands all Shipping functions and works with great attention to detail.
- Verifies customer shipments and ensures that the right product in the right quantity has been prepped to go to the right customer, with the correct specific customer requirements. Ensures that loads are not damaged and are securely wrapped and stacked for delivery.
- Monitors shipping workload and work with the shift’s Supervisor/Team Leader to get resources as required.
Other
- Assists with EHS audits as assigned.
- Monitors warehouses for safety and SQF concerns.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must be a current Material Handler I or II.
- Experience in both Shipping and Material Handling preferred.
- Must demonstrate an exceptional workplace safety mindset, strong attention to detail, a positive and collaborative attitude, and passion to help others learn and connect with the company.
- Good communication and writing skills.
- Solid understanding of inventory transactions and problem-solving skills strongly preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of standing or sitting.
- Frequent lifting up to 45 pounds.
- Frequent pushing and pulling.
- Must be able to operate powered industrial trucks.
