JOB SUMMARY

The Product Development Technician will design new products, improve existing products, and build prototypes.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in design component research for prototyping
• Assemble and test new products
• Communicate with the engineering department and project manager on issues
• Document reported software/firmware/hardware issues using tracking software
• Assist in troubleshooting software/firmware bugs
• Assist in product refactoring
• Assist in supporting customers during the beta phase of software/hardware releases

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have an associate degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience or four years of relevant experience
• Must be self-starter
• Must have a working knowledge of computers and electronics
• Ability to read and comprehend verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to verbally communicate with supervision.
• Must be capable of learning multiple tasks.
• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Must be an effective problem-solver and proficient at troubleshooting complex systems
• Must be passionate about innovation and the technology that supports it

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged periods of standing or sitting.
• Frequent lifting up to 45 pounds
• Prolonged repetitive motion of wrists / hands.
• Frequent pulling, pushing, and lifting.
