JOB SUMMARY
The EHS Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining an environment supportive of safety throughout our organization. This includes but is not limited to maintaining all records and compliance around emissions and environmental standards, leading process improvements and compliance with all government organizations including OSHA, and providing TeamMates with EHS leadership, knowledge, and continuous improvement.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership: Creating, training, and maintaining safety and environmental policies in accordance with OSHA and government standards. The EHS Manager will lead safety projects, continuous improvement initiatives and various other initiatives. Duties may include:
- Develop an annual EHS Site Continuous Improvement Plan and drive EHS continuous improvement activities.
- Actively participates in lean manufacturing / operational excellence programs and completes EHS standard work.
- Responsible for implementing, managing, and sustaining our safety culture maturity program.
- Responsible for the administration, implementation, and enforcement of safety policies to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations which may meet or exceed established goals.
- Facilitates and leads the Safety Steering Committee and sub-team committees. This includes providing support with investigations and 5 Why/Root Cause Analysis.
- Tracks, approves, and maintains chemical inventories for hazard notification, reporting requirements and Material Safety Data Sheet system updates.
- Ensure all EHS issues that are identified during internal/external audits and Safety Committee audits are resolved.
Environmental Management: – Responsible for all emission and other environmental compliance in accordance with laws and regulations. Responsible for the tracking and storing of required chemicals. Duties may include:
- Ensures compliance and conformance related to regulatory and other requirements.
- Tracks, approves, and maintains chemical inventories for hazard notification, reporting requirements and Material Safety Data Sheet system updates.
- Leads environmental sections off all audits and customer questions.
Safety Reporting – Responsible for all reporting of safety metrics, incident investigations and support on workers compensation. Duties may include:
- Partners with Human Resources in managing worker's compensation program.
- Conduct incident investigations and partners with management to ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
- Reports both monthly and daily metrics
- Maintaining OSHA logs ensuring that they are always up to date
- Submission and posting of required OSHA logs annually

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or other science related.
- Three (3) years of experience leading Environmental Health and Safety programs
- Experience in managing/handling compliance issues, manufacturing operations, OSHA/EPA programs, regulatory reviews, permit preparation, reporting and record keeping.
- Strong communication and leadership skills required.
