JOB SUMMARY

Performs a variety of secretarial and clerical duties for Harmar Street managers.  Types office documents, creates Excel spreadsheets, maintains an assortment of records as assigned.  Acts as telephone operator and receptionist for the Harmar Street facility.  Assist with creating and inventory of POS material.  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answer all incoming telephone calls in a timely, courteous manner, and relays calls and messages to appropriate personnel.
  • Directing and assisting all visitors to the Harmar Street facility by determining the nature of visits, maintaining an accurate sign-in sheet, notifying the appropriate managers/supervisors of visitors, and ensuring proper safety and SQF training for all visitors as needed.
  • Performs various clerical tasks for Harmar Street managers by typing office documents, creating Excel spreadsheets, maintaining an assortment of records as assigned.
  • Assists in collection and distribution of mail items, both internal and external.
  • Ensuring continuous operation of office equipment by reporting all problems to service representatives and by performing minor maintenance functions.
  • Secures the necessary supplies needed to fulfill functional responsibilities, including, but not limited to:
    • Paper
    • Copier cartridges
    • First Aid supplies
    • Cafeteria supplies
  • Company contact representative for AVI Food System issues and concerns.
  • Provides prompt and courteous service to both internal and external customers.
  • Assists in production of Point-of-Sale (POS) material, by providing support as needed.  Completing purchase order requests, completing standard work instructions, assists in lining up technical assistance.
  • Oversees scheduling of company vehicles at Harmar Street facility.
  • Other various project work as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of secretarial/administrative education or experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of standing or sitting.
  • Occasional lifting to 45 pounds.
  • Occasional pulling, pushing, and lifting.
  • CRT exposure
