We are looking for a Product Development Technician to join our growing team. This position will focus on research for design, prototyping and testing new products and documenting those findings for our software and hardware teammates as we bring solutions to market.

What you'll do:

  • Assist in design component research for prototyping
  • Assembly and testing of new products
  • Communicate with the engineering department and project manager on issues
  • Document reported software/firmware/hardware issues using tracking software
  • Assist in troubleshooting software/firmware bugs
  • Assist in product refactoring
  • Assist in supporting customers during the beta phase of software/hardware releases

Who we are looking for:

  • Must be self-starter
  • Must have a working knowledge of computers and electronics
  • Must have an associate's degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience or four years of relevant experience
  • Must be an effective problem-solver and proficient at troubleshooting complex systems
  • Must be passionate about innovation and the technology that supports it

We’d like to hear from you if you:

  • Have experience building prototype machines
  • Understand serial communication protocols (RS232, USB, RS485, I2C, SPI)
  • Have experience in developing software
  • Have previously built anything using microcontrollers
  • Ability to read, interpret schematic drawings and technical documents
