JOB TITLE: Receiving & Inspection Clerk
DEPARTMENT: Supply Chain
REPORTS TO: Purchasing Manager
SUPERVISES: None
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
JOB SUMMARY
The Receiving & Inspection Clerk is responsible for processing receipts for incoming goods, and for inspecting select incoming goods to ensure that they meet the quality standards outlined in the purchase order, or test packet.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receiving
- Inspects incoming shipments, verifying the quantity and quality of the items received in comparison to the purchase order.
- Processes receipts in IQMS.
- Delivers goods to the area noted in the purchase order and puts away inventory items.
- Informs Purchasing of any discrepancies.
- Processes and repacks customer return RMAs.
- Facilitates unloading, labeling, and proper stacking of container receipts.
- Incoming Quality Inspector
- Performs detailed inspections of incoming goods for quality and compliance with relevant standards and requirements.
- Records results in IQMS.
- Creates MRBs for items with quality concerns, ensuring that goods are quarantined until a decision is made regarding potential use.

- Assists with EHS audits as assigned.
- Monitors warehouses for safety and SQF concerns.
- Performs a variety of related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Must demonstrate an exceptional workplace safety mindset, strong attention to detail, a positive and collaborative attitude, and good communication and writing skills.
- The ability to distinguish colors is a must.
- A solid understanding of IQMS and problem-solving skills is strongly preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Prolonged standing and walking.
- Must be able to lift over 45 pounds.
- Must be able to operate powered industrial trucks.
- Color discrimination required.
