JOB SUMMARY

Product Line Specialist Responsible for the direct oversight of DrinkWorks! (DW) product lines and ongoing outsourced product line development and support. This position plays an integral role in enabling our team to deliver our line of products on-time while meeting established quality standards and exceeding customer expectations. Responsibilities include maintaining and promoting product data integrity between integrated systems, ensuring product quality, working closely with a diverse range of departments and outside vendors, and comprehensive order timeline management. These responsibilities require strong communication and organization skills, as well as consistent professionalism and sound judgment. Core Responsibilities:

  • Product Line Oversight: responsible for coordinating the delivery of product line orders in a timely manner and meeting quality standards while being cost effective and meeting customer needs. Representative duties may include:
    • Ensuring adherence to product order configuration, including but not limited to customer design requirements, product material, production quality, product testing requirements, packaging configuration and shipping information.
    • Ensuring all company policies are met, which may include the type of decoration, number of ink colors, quantity/product requirements, licensing/royalty issues and other related items such as confidentiality clauses.
    • Developing and maintaining detailed product specifications.
      • Updating systems and maintaining product data integrity as needed.
    • Providing detailed, accurate, and timely statements of work.
      • Working closely with the Import Buyer to ensure accuracy and timeliness of any and all product line orders placed.
    • Establishing, monitoring, and managing production timelines from inquiry to delivery.
      • Establishing timing expectations.
      • Reporting changes or threats to adverse timeline changes to assigned departmental liaison and Independent Sales Rep (ISR).
    • Product line Subject Matter Expert (SME) for internal and external sales questions and support.
  • Responsible for the completion of special company projects as assigned by the Director or President of Drinkworks!.
  • Acting as administrative support for the Director and President of DrinkWorks! as needed.
  • Onboarding NPD Requests
      • Reviewing requests with management
      • Recording NPD Project Managers
      • Assigning NPD Numbers
      • Assigning Art Cards
  • Related Dutiesresponsible for performing miscellaneous related duties as assigned to support the mission of the DrinkWorks! department and to further personal development.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or two-years equivalent work experience is required. Must have well-developed and demonstrated persuasion and negotiation competencies as well as the ability to broker agreements between vendors, Whirley-DrinkWorks! leaders, and customers over cost, quality, and delivery terms. This position requires strict attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy of item numbers, order details, quantities, and financial calculations. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to establish productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including international), superior organization and time management skills, the ability to work under pressure, effective problem-solving skills, and the ability to make quick, accurate decisions using logical judgment. Must be a hard-working, committed, energetic, positive, and proactive team player who demonstrates professionalism at all times. This position requires a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision in a collaborative manner. Demonstrated experience with Word and Excel is necessary.
