JOB SUMMARY
The Market Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities to expand the company's market presence and sales within assigned markets. They analyze market trends, assess customer needs, and develop strategies to penetrate untapped segments. Collaborating with Brand, Sales and NPD teams, they formulate effective marketing and product plans and adapt strategies based on market dynamics. This position reports to the VP of Marketing.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Market Analysis:
- Leverages a deep understanding of the current and potential markets for their business
- Conducts research and analysis to identify market size, growth potential, customer segments, pain points, and value propositions.
- Monitors and evaluates the competitive landscape, and the industry trends.
Market Strategy:
- Based on their market analysis, develops and proposes strategies to enter new markets or segments, and to launch new products or programs to existing customer base.
- Defines the target market, the value proposition, the positioning, and the marketing tactics.
Market Execution:
- Once their strategies are approved, leads and coordinates the implementation of their plans.
- Work closely with brand, sales, product development, and other teams to activate their activities and objectives by:
- Creating and implementing effective marketing plans, campaigns and sales tools. Analyzing and tracking campaign performance.
- Developing programs and success stories.
- Leading strategy and content for Trade Shows. Track leads for ROI.
- Partnering with Sales VP to establish and track sales targets, and to ensure sales team engagement in qualifying prospects and selling in new products and programs. Also work closely on new product development and pricing.
- Interacting with Sales Team and customers where appropriate.
- Researching and leading Coreline Product development for market.
Market evaluation:
- Evaluates the outcomes and impacts of their strategies.
- Measuring and reporting on key metrics, such as customer acquisition, marketing performance, and revenue.
- Collecting and analyzing feedback from customers, partners, and teams, and identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of their strategies.
- Using their findings to adjust and improve their plans, or to propose new initiatives.
Other Duties:
- Lead and manage company’s Social Media strategy and execution.
- Executes the company’s value proposition and Brand guidelines consistently to guide all marketing collateral and information across channels.
- Manages and ensures all activities are within approved Marketing Budget.
- Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:
- Understanding of marketing strategy and ability to research and develop a Creative Brief based on understanding target markets, their needs and design marketing material to drive sales.
- Ability to create marketing campaigns using Marketing Automation platform (e.g., Hubspot).
- Sales, tradeshow or business development experience.
- Knowledge in creating social media posts and management; LinkedIn, HubSpot.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Adobe Creative Suite: Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop; and CMS platforms (i.e., WordPress).
- Excellent project management skills such as planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating are required.
- Be able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines, prioritize and delegate effectively, and solve problems creatively.
- Demonstrated ability to work with and lead groups in the completion of various assignments.
- Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to diverse audiences.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong grasp of SEO methods and implementation, and website performance analytics (e.g., Google Analytics).
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Preferred, bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business development or related field.
- Preferred, 5 years of experience in an integrated marketing communications role, sales or business development role, preferably with a B2B company.
