JOB TITLE: Production Technician I

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for performing various assembly jobs, repairing equipment, packaging products, quality assurance tasks and supporting shop activities. This job requires attention to detail, reading assembly blueprints/instructions, equipment and software diagnostics as well as the ability to work with various computer systems as well as small hand tools. Some travel is possible depending on customer needs. Assist RFID tag programmer and perform other duties as assigned by the operations management.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Production & Service Support:

  • Build, assemble, and package new components as needed to satisfy inventory and sales requests as well as repair units that have come in for service.

Shop Support:

  • Performs various duties including shop cleaning, shop organization, packaging products, labeling inventory, and assembly of various products.

Customer Service & Repair:

  • Possible travel to fix customer equipment or in-field training.

Tag Programming:

  • Programs tags, verifies tag runs, creates tag batches as needed.

Quality Assurance:

  • Performs QA test procedures on prototype and production equipment. Including tags, mugs, and machines.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum High School education or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 years of service experience in a similar or related field.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US or Canada as applicable.
  • Reasonable level of computer literacy.
  • Detail oriented, organized, and capable of working efficiently with minimal or no guidance.
  • Able to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
  • Attention to detail is a must along with a good work attitude.
  • Must be able to work with various computer equipment and small hand tools.
  • Must be an effective problem-solver and good communicator to relay testing and troubleshooting information to management.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of standing or sitting.
  • Frequent lifting up to 45 pounds
  • Prolonged repetitive motion of wrists / hands.
  • Frequent pulling, pushing, and lifting.
