POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Systems Analyst creates and maintains Whirley business system programs and writes queries and reports, interfacing with business users to ensure work meets needs of the users. Responsible for analyzing Information Services requests, following up with requester and implementing. Resolves errors with Whirley Business Systems programs. Administers the IT internal ticketing system tracking requests through resolution. Serves as the liaison between IT and the Whirley Family of Brands business units.
 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Information Services Requests – responsible for interpreting and implementing TeamMate requests. Requests may include programming fixes, enhancements, or new capabilities. 
  • Guides and implements company IT strategies including hardware and software system solutions for all business units.
  • Implements strategic IT policies across all business units.
  • Works to improve TeamMate satisfaction with IT systems and processes.
  • Converts designs and specifications into computer code, compiling into programs, fully testing, and correcting errors.
  • Creates test transactions and runs test to locate errors and confirm programs meet specifications and consults with user department personnel to prototype, refine, test and debug program to meet needs.
  • Answers questions concerning program function and logic.
  • Assists with researching of problems and data analysis.
  • Provides training, coaching, documentation and basic troubleshooting when possible
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
  • Three to five years’ experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Prefer knowledge of ERP Systems such as: Order Entry, Invoices, Accounting, Costing, Production, B.O.M., Shipping, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be dependable and extremely trustworthy.
  • Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office 365 Suite of products
  • SQL report writing using Crystal Reports, or similar program.
  • Excellent analytical skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
  • Ability to explain technical matters in an easy-to-understand manner.
